Our Story
Hello everyone! The Groove Academy was established in summer of 2024 in San Marcos right on Linda Vista Drive! We are a new dance studio, but we aren’t new to the area! Casey is a born and raised San Marcos native who attended Knob Hill, Woodland Park, and Mission Hills! Nguyen was born and raised in San Diego and attended San Diego State University. Casey + Nguyen have also spent six years as the head coaches of the national award winning Mission Hills dance team as well as being the head coaches for Cal State San Marcos dance team! Our lives are here in San Marcos and we are so excited to provide a nurturing, uplifting and fun dance space for dancers of all ages and abilities! We look forward to providing opportunities to our community! Please join us for all the fun!
Our Mission
The Groove Academy offers comprehensive dance instruction for children of all ages. Dancers who join our program will receive both group lessons and one-on-one coaching in various genres, including jazz, tap, hip hop, ballet, lyrical, pom, and acrobatics.

We believe is small class sizes and individualized learning. Dancers of all ages and abilities will grow at a rate where every achievement, big or small is celebrated.

We provide opportunities for recreational participation, ideal for those seeking extracurricular activities that promote health and socialization. Additionally, we offer a competitive track where dancers can compete at regional and national levels across multiple styles.
Our programs also include specialized training for high school and collegiate dance team preparation. Our faculty are dedicated to nurturing and developing each dancer's potential.
